Relief.Asia is an online platform which was developed in the wake of the Myanmar Cyclone and Sichuan Earthquake Disaster that tore through the region in May, 2008. Under the Digital 21 Strategy for IT Development, the Government has established an open and common Chinese language interface (CCLI) for the HKSAR to facilitate more effective electronic communication using Chinese by the public. A pivotal element of the CCLI is the adoption of the ISO 10646 standard and the Hong Kong Supplementary Character Set (HKSCS). The Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau issued a consultation paper in December 2006, for seeking public views on issues related to further strengthening the existing legal protection for copyright. 廣東省政府於2005 年成功舉辦『廣東省Linux 軟體推進計劃的《Linux 軟硬體產品推薦目錄》』，共200多個產品申請列入該目錄之內，其中約有110 個產品能獲得批准。由於省政府各單位均以此目錄為採購軟硬體優先考慮名單，令成功獲得批准的產品 / 公司生意大增。最近， 廣東省政府宣佈此項目再次在2006 年接受申請報名，並接受香港公司申請，而最後報名期限為2006 年11 月底。
