Pursuant to the signing of the Agreement on Trade in Goods by the Mainland and Hong Kong under Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) framework on 14 December 2018, Trade and Industry Department has updated the leaflet to introduce the latest liberalisation measures and implementation details of CEPA. Hong Kong Information Technology Federation (HKITF), Hong Kong Internet Service Providers Association (HKISPA) and Hong Kong Retail Technology Industry Association (RTIA) organized a Joint ICT Networking Dinner on 24 May 2019.

Thank you for The Hon. Charles Mok, JP, Legislative Councillor (IT) be our Guest of Honor shared the IT industry update with the topic of “ICT Development in Hong Kong – where do we go from here?”

We also thank for Mr. Francis Fong, Honorary President of HKITF, had a chitchat session to share the cybersecurity issues with the participants.

Belt and Road Summit 2019

The fourth edition of the Belt and Road Summit jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council will be held on 11-12 September 2019 in Hong Kong.

Under the theme of “Creating and Realising Opportunities”, The two-day Summit will provide participants with a one-stop business platform through a comprehensive programme, including a high-level symposium with plenary sessions and thematic breakout forums, business matching services, networking events, exhibitions, etc.  Coupled with a series of cultural performances on-site, the Summit will offer an exciting business and cultural experience for all participants.

The ITU Telecom World 2019 is organised by the International Telecommunication Union (“ITU”) the United Nations specialised agency for information and communication technologies (“ICT”).  The event will be held in Budapest, Hungary from 9 to 12 September 2019.

ITU Telecom World is an annual ICT event which provides an international platform for policy makers and regulators to meet industry members, such as small and medium enterprises (“SMEs”), start-ups and innovators, from emerging and developed markets with a view to accelerating ICT development.  The ITU Telecom World consists of forums, seminars and exhibitions showcasing the latest ICT development.  There is a specific programme for SMEs in which participants could join the forums, masterclasses and networking sessions related to SMEs in the ICT industry.
